Offered here is an original 1919 Robbins & Myers electric fan base, a genuine cast iron lower motor housing with its original tilt joint and early cloth-wrapped wiring. This base comes from an early R&M desk fan produced around 1915–1922, a period known for heavy iron construction and high-quality machining. The piece retains its bell-shaped motor housing, tilt adjustment assembly, switch opening, and green felt-lined base, all characteristic features of Robbins & Myers fans from this era. At its bottom, this piece measures approximately 7" in diameter, and approximately 8" at its highest point. This is an excellent restoration replacement part for collectors rebuilding an early R&M model or repairing a unit with a damaged or missing base. The cast iron is solid, with no major breaks or cracks visible. The wiring is original and unsafe for use and should be replaced if the fan is restored.
