Up for sale is a vintage David White Company surveying transit/level with a carrying case.
Made by David White Company, Milwaukee

Transit/level instrument with a wooden storage case with leather strap (strap is worn/broken, see photos)
The transit is in overall good vintage condition with normal signs of age and use. Optics and adjustment knobs appear intact. The wooden case shows wear and aging as expected for it's vintage. The leather strap is brittle and broken off. Untested for accuracy, sold as a collectible/display or for restoration. Looks like it measures and levels. but it is untested by us.
Great piece for collectors of surveying instruments, antique engineering tools, or vintage scientific displays.
