Antique Architect’s Flat File Cabinet Plan Chest 6 Drawer Oak Map Blueprint Storage This stunning flat file cabinet measures approximately 29" wide, 22" tall and 18" deep. Offered for sale is a handsome antique architect's flat file cabinet or plan chest featuring six shallow drawers and beautiful solid oak construction. This piece dates to the late 19th or early 20th century and was originally used for storing maps, blueprints, artwork, photographs, printing materials, or other large documents. The cabinet retains its original character with six smoothly operating drawers, decorative brass backplates, and turned wood pulls. Please note, the pull on the bottom drawer lift, needs some repair. The cabinet shows expected age and use-related wear including surface scratches, edge wear, finish loss, dings, and other cosmetic imperfections consistent with age. Please review all photos carefully as they are an important part of the description and condition report. In the photos, please see the corner of the back of the file cabinet - a part of the trim is loose and needs tightening.
