Civil War Era Caltrop, 6 Point Cast Iron Anti Cavalry Infantry Horse Crippler B

Set of two Civil War era cast iron caltrops, historically used as anti-cavalry obstacles to slow or disable horses and advancing troops. These heavy iron pieces feature multiple protruding points designed so that one point would face upward when dropped on the ground. The larger caltrop measures approximately 1 1/2" across, while the smaller measures approximately 3/4" across. Both pieces show wear consistent with age and use, including surface rust, oxidation, discoloration, and worn edges. Their dark, aged surfaces give them an authentic antique appearance. These unusual pieces make interesting additions to a military history collection, Civil War memorabilia display, or antique iron collection.
