Time travel is not possible…yet!
However, if you are interested in a glimpse into life, family, and farming, in the early 1900’s this lot of 26 images is truly a “one-of-a-kind” find!

This lot includes 26 images of various sizes. Most of the images are on photo paper except for five of the “professional portrait” type images which are mounted on a cardboard weight mat paper. The two largest images measure approximately 10” side to side and approximately 7.5” top to bottom. The remainder of the images are of various sizes from approximately 4.25” side to side and 6.5” top to bottom to the smallest image, a mounted mat tintype that measures approximately 2.25” side to side and 4” top to bottom. The image within this mat only measures approximately 1.5” side to side and approximately 2.25” top to bottom. Please examine the listing images carefully to fully appreciate the condition of these items.

These items all exhibit discoloration, tears, and blemishes attributable to age and wear. Very few have inscriptions although, there is a name and address, “Home of John Seal, 44 Meredith Street, Delhi, N.Y.” inscribed on the back of one of the images and the name of “Thomas Deuer” (?) on the back of one of the portraits. There are photographer marks “Sympson – Carthage, IL” on one image, as well as “L.W. & J. H. Rupp” followed by image numbers on five of the images.

This distinctive collection of images would make a wonderful coffee table photo album or collage wall hanging in a Country Cottage or Farmhouse themed space!
