General Store Mercantile 30 Drawer Cabinet Vintage Apothecary Store Display, A

Antique General Store Mercantile 30 Drawer Cabinet Apothecary Store Display This unique store counter measures approximately 72 1/2" wide, 94 1/2" tall and 14 1/2" deep. Outstanding large antique general store or mercantile cabinet featuring approximately 30 wooden drawers with vintage metal label-holder pulls and a large open shelving display above The lower portion has five rows of individual drawers, providing an impressive amount of storage and giving the piece the classic appearance of an old hardware store, pharmacy, apothecary or general store fixture. The drawers retain their metal label holders, adding to the cabinet’s authentic commercial character. The upper section features two columns of deep open shelving with a cream-painted interior, dark wood shelf edges and substantial wood trim surrounding the cabinet. Decorative molding across the top and architectural detailing along the sides give the piece a commanding presence. This cabinet has a wonderfully aged appearance with extensive evidence of many years of use. The dark wood exterior shows scratches, scuffs, finish loss, chips, marks and discoloration. The cream-painted shelving has staining, scratches, paint wear and other surface imperfections. The drawers also show varying degrees of wear and finish loss. The back of the cabinet shows significant age and wear, including deterioration and loss to portions of the backing material near the bottom. This store counter needs some repair. As you can see in the photos, the sides are not finished and the molding across the top is not finished. Please examine all photographs closely for the most accurate representation of condition. The rolling dollies visible underneath the cabinet in the photographs are separate from the cabinet and are not included in the sale.
