This is a beautiful medium-sized handblown balon bottle, often referred to as a demijohn or carboy. Measures approximately 20" tall and 15" in diameter. It has the classic rounded, pear-shaped form with a double-ring applied lip and the natural character you expect from older hand-formed glass. The surface shows waves, bubbles, and irregularities that give it wonderful texture and authenticity. The base displays typical hand-production marks, and the glass has a very light aqua tint. The bottle makes an excellent decorative piece and can also be used for brewing, wine or beer making, or simply as a unique accent in a home or shop. It is structurally sound with no major cracks or breaks. Interior haze or light residue may be present, consistent with age. Bottle appears to be stamped "25L" on bottom.
