Appears hand hewn, lots of axe marks, uneven cuts on all sides. A few holes on one end from nails. We were told this was walnut. In a nice manageable size. Perfect for a mantle or shelf in a rustic setting. Beam measures approximately 55 1/2" end to end and diameter is roughly 6" to 6 1/4". This item is free shipping to the Continental United States.
