Richard Sloan Original Lithograph Folio, 23 Matted North American Bird Plates B,

Collection of 23 exquisite Richard Sloan matted bird prints would be a very attractive acquisition for anyone who appreciates Sloan's meticulous rendering of North American birds.

Each wildlife art print with matting measures approximately 20" by 16", and has just a sliver of a deep, rich color that enhances Sloan's subject and then a larger border of classic white matting. Each lithograph plate is numbered, identified by title, and also identified as being "From the Private Collection of Mr. J.L. Wade." As shown in photos, matted prints are currently encased in protective plastic sleeves in a black binder that measures approximately 20 1/2" top to bottom, 17" side to side, and 2 3/4" front to back. Binder has some scuffs and marks from storage and moving. Art prints come from the stock of Nature House located in Griggsville, Illinois, which published the prints for the J. L. Wade collection.
This may have been a display item; although it comes directly from the publisher, several of the tissue papers between the prints are bent, and some of the prints that appear in other books are not included. The inside front cover has some discoloration from what looks like tape, as if something was taped inside the cover and then fell out. The prints are encased in plastic sleeves and so were more protected.

Prints could be separately framed with matting or displayed in the binder as a coffee table book.
