Vintage 13'-4" Sherer Seed Counter, Country General Store Display Bin Cabinet

Featuring this 13'-4" Sherer Seed Counter manufactured by Sherer Brothers in Chicago, Illinois!!

This counter measures approximately 160" wide, 33 3/4" tall and 28 3/4" deep.

This oak counter is from the early 1900's. It was normally used in general, grocery, or hardware stores to display and store goods that were for sale. A sample of the product in the drawer was displayed in the front window for the customer to see. For each window there is a drawer in the back where the employee would scoop out the desired weight into a bag and sell it. There are 2 different size windows and drawers for different size seeds. Some of the glass has been replaced with plexiglass.  This cabinet also features original Sherer drawer pulls.

 This seed cabinet shows some signs of previous age and use by the scratches, stains and nicks on the top and sides.  This unique and timeless cabinet would make a great kitchen island, store display, or sale counter!
