Vintage 8' Oak General Store Counter Cabinet Glass Doors Mercantile Apothecary

Antique Oak General Store Counter Cabinet Glass Doors Mercantile Apothecary This beautiful store counter measures approximately 97 1/2" wide, 42" tall and 20" deep. Impressive antique oak general store counter or mercantile cabinet featuring a long work surface, abundant interior storage, three large drawers and six glass-front cabinet doors. This substantial piece has wonderful character and would make an outstanding statement piece in a retail store, restaurant, kitchen, bar, office or antique commercial interior. The front features six narrow framed glass doors arranged across three large cabinet sections. The doors open to reveal spacious interior shelving suitable for displaying or storing merchandise, dishes, glassware, collectibles, books, linens, bottles or other items. Above the cabinets are three large drawers fitted with old metal cup-style pulls. The cabinet has a long wood countertop with an attractive aged surface and visible grain. The oak framework has a warm dark brown finish with years of naturally acquired wear and patina. The glass has a textured or aged appearance that adds greatly to the antique commercial character of the cabinet. The reverse is constructed with a large solid wood back. The interior shows substantial wood shelving and construction consistent with a piece originally intended for heavy commercial use. The cabinet is antique and shows considerable evidence of age and previous use. There are scratches, scuffs, stains, finish loss, discoloration, marks, edge wear and other imperfections throughout. The interior shelving also shows staining and wear from use. The glass, doors, drawers, hardware, countertop, interior and exterior surfaces should be carefully reviewed in the photographs for condition. The aged finish and evidence of commercial use are an important part of the character of this piece. Rolling cart is not included.
