Early 1920s Zeta radio receiver, a scarce example of early battery-powered TRF (Tuned Radio Frequency) design from the dawn of broadcast radio.
Item measures approximately 26 3/4" wide, 9 3/4" deep, and 9" tall.
This handsome set features a black front panel with three large tuning dials and a smaller volume control, housed in a solid wood cabinet with a hinged top lid and classic routed edge details. Inside, the chassis retains its original components including three variable capacitors, coil assemblies, tube sockets, and wiring. One vintage vacuum tube remains in place. The cabinet interior and hardware appear original and unmodified, with light age-related wear to the finish. The lid does have a slight warp, there are some cracks in the wood.
This unit has not been tested and is being offered as-is for display, restoration, or parts. Instagram: theoldgrainery You are also welcome to visit or call us Monday-Friday 9am-4pm Central Time to discuss purchases. Our number is 217-779-3992. Be prepared with the title.
